Getten takes over as Havre Daily photographer

Teresa Getten has been named a full-time photographer for the Havre Daily News.

She has been a part-time photojournalist since April.

Getten is a native of Salt Lake City and graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in mass communications.

She has worked for the Daily Utah Chronicle as a photojournalist and Deseret News in Salt Lake City as a photo technician.

She has three children, Isabelle, 17, Marcus, 12, and Lucas, 4.

She also operates Teresa Getten Photography at teressagetten.com.

Her job at the Havre Daily News will be to photograph news events and take feature photos throughout the Havre Daily News coverage area.

"I am excited to have Teresa join our very talented staff as a photojournalist," said Havre Daily News Publisher Stacy Mantle.

"Teresa is a hard worker and is dedicated to doing a good job for the newspaper." she said. "With her experience and eye for photography she will take this paper to great places."
