She was born May 16, 1928, to Arnold and Helen (McCann) Langel at the farmhouse north of Goldstone, Montana. Audrey graduated Rudyard High School and the day after graduation she met her lifelong friend and partner, Lloyd Kaercher. Audrey and Lloyd were married Oct. 25, 1947, a union that continued for 68 years. Audrey and Lloyd farmed west of Havre, where they spent more than 50 years.

Audrey was never without a project and was a creative homemaker who kept her children (and later her grandchildren) occupied. Because she felt so strongly that her own life was blessed, she loved helping others and volunteering at community organizations, especially the Boys & Girls Club of the Hi-Line. She particularly enjoyed her membership in Van Orsdel Methodist Church and her lifelong friends that joined her in her Circle and the church's kitchen. Audrey's life was one of countless small gestures of kindness and generosity that will be carried forward in the hearts of all who loved her.

Audrey was preceded in death by her cherished daughter Joyce Slothower of Banden, Oregon, who passed away in 2015; and her parents and siblings Duane, Arnold, Richard, Gerald and Dorothy Langel and Katherine Brandt and Lillian Pfifer.

Audrey is survived by her husband, Lloyd Kaercher, 94, who resides at Care and Comfort Home, Havre. She is survived by her children Diane Kaercher of Mill Valley, California, Susan Kaercher (Larry Pike) of Salt Lake City, Utah, Les (Terri) Kaercher of Havre, Joan (Eric) Hendricks of Billings and Doug (Darla) Kaercher of Havre. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and son-in-law, Bear Slothower. Her siblings, Lucille Miller and Stanley (Willa Rae) Langel, survive her as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Family members extend their gratitude to the staff of Care and Comfort Home for the exceptional and loving care.
