The H. Earl Clack Museum will host the Montana Conversations program “Montana UFOs and Extraterrestrials” Monday evening at the Best Western Havre Inn and Suites.
The presentation is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the Montana room and free and open to the public.
The presentation will be given by author and researcher Joan Bird, who holds a doctorate in zoology.
On the website MontanaUFOs.com, she is described as “a lifelong student of unexplained phenomena and long-time member of the Institute of Noetic Sciences” who “has worked as a community educator and change agent.”
Chair of the museum board Judi Dritshulas said the idea was to do something different and to attract people. She said she realized people were interested in hearing and talking about the topic during a book club session. When the topic of UFOs was brought up, Dritshulas said half the ladies in the room began sharing their thoughts and even some stories.
“Montana seems to be a hotbead of UFO activity,” she said.
So she got ahold of Humanities Montana and asked that Bird do a UFO presentation.
She hopes the presentation gets the public’s attention and she especially hopes people attend to listen and contribute.
Dritshulas said she too has had an “experience.” It was many years ago, and to this day, she said, it makes her wonder if what she experienced that night was otherworldly.
