We were at Beaver Creek Park in June for our biannual Patera reunion at the Railroad Pagers campground. We arrived a day early so we had time to hike to some of the other camp sites and take a drive through others.
As former Havre-area residents we have childhood memories of picnics at Beaver Creek Park. After our 1963 marriage we started camping with our children, family and friends. Usually our first campout for the year was to Beaver Creek Park for Memorial Day weekend and ended there for Labor Day weekend.
In 1987, we moved south of Cascade to the Missouri River Canyon, and we still look forward to campouts at Beaver Creek Park.
We wish to extend a special thank-you to Chad Edgar, park superintendent, and his staff for the meticulous care they give the park. We also thank all the organizations that furnish their labor and funds to develop special campsites. And thank you to all Hill County residents whose taxes ensure that Beaver Creek Park remains.
Beaver Creek Park is a true treasure of beauty and relaxation.
Usually on our campouts to Beaver Creek we travel through Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation. This drive saves us time and mileage and gives us extra time to enjoy the beauty of the Bear Paws.
We wish to let the residents of Rocky Boy know we have noticed the wonderful job they have done in cleaning the roadways and yards.
We feel Beaver Creek Park as well as Rocky Boy reservation have never looked so great.
