Havre officers are making headway in their investigations of a string of burglaries and vandalism that were reported June 27.
“They got some pretty good leads,” Police Chief Gabe Matosich said Tuesday.
Police received reports Monday, June 27 throughout the day from business owners, residents and the Havre-Hill County Library director that they had either been vandalized or broken into.
The businesses that were burglarized were Rod’s Drive-In and Nalivka’s Original Pizza Kitchen. Owners of both businesses said they believed someone who was small broke into their restaurants by getting through windows with small openings.
The library and Bing ‘N’ Bob’s Sporting Goods both had windows broken.
Matosich said the police department is not sure if the vandalisms and the burglaries are related, but the burglaries are suspected of being committed by a juvenile.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made yet, Matosich said.
