Pauline (St. Marks) Briere, 76, passed away due to natural causes on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at her residence. Wake services will begin at noon on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, and will continue until her funeral service, which will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 24, 2016, all at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rocky Boy. Burial will follow in the Briere Family Cemetery. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Pauline was born on Aug. 30, 1939, in Havre to Louie and Lucy (Caplette) St. Marks. She was raised in Rocky Boy, attending Box Elder High School through 10th grade. In August 1959, she married Robert J. "Mickey" Briere Sr. in Box Elder, and the couple had four children. Pauline spent the rest of her years staying home to raise the children and care for her husband and her home.
She was a social homebody with a heart of gold who loved to cook, shop and have friends and family over to visit. Pauline always had coffee on, and was a dedicated New Orleans Saints fan, watching every game she could. She adored her family.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Louie St. Marks and Lucy Sangrey; her sisters, Maryann Boushie, Florence DuBois, and Laura and Justina St. Marks; her brothers, Johnny, Hector and Clarence St. Marks, and James "Sham" Sangrey; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is survived by Robert "Mickey" Briere Sr., her beloved husband of 56 years; her daughter, Marsha (Steve) Grimwood of Tacoma, Washington; her sons, Robert (Madonna), Ronald (Tona), and Burke Briere, all of Rocky Boy; numerous beloved grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; her sister Cecelia Wells of Rocky Boy; and numerous beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
