Chloe Shennum plays ping pong Monday in the game room at the Boys & Girls Club of the Hi-Line. The club opened for its summer schedule this week. The summer program is from noon to 5 p.m. for children 6 to 18 years old. Lunch is served at noon with snacks at 4 p.m. Rooms at the club include the gymnasium, game room, tech center, science center, the homework room which becomes a summer reading room for this season, performing arts center, teen center, and arts and crafts. Program manager Scott Miller said more than 200 children attend the Boys & Girls Club of the Hi-Line, adding that it is the second-biggest in the state. "It's a safe place that's supervised and keeps kids out of trouble, and it's a lot of fun," he said.
