Faber promoted to VP at Independence Bank

Independence Bank announced that Karene Faber has been promoted to assistant vice president of consumer lending.

In her new position, Faber will oversee the consumer lending and one to four family residential real estate departments for the six branch locations including Havre, Poplar, Scobey, Conrad, Malta and Glasgow.

"We are very pleased to see Karene move into this new leadership role with Independence Bank. As part of the management team, Karene's knowledge and experience will be a valuable asset as we continue to grow our customer base and our involvement in the communities we serve," said Bill Keller, executive vice president and chief credit officer.

Faber has been with Independence Bank since 2003 and most recently served as the senior consumer loan officer. She is a graduate of Montana State University-Northern with a bachelor's degree in business.

A Chinook High School graduate, Faber was raised on a ranch near Cleveland. She said she enjoys time at the ranch, camping, gardening, skiing and traveling.

She is a trustee of the Montana Cowboy Hall of Fame and a member of the MSU-N Rodeo Booster Club and was the 2015 recipient of "Outstanding Rodeo Advocate of the Year" from the MSU-Northern Rodeo Team.
