North Stars win on the road

The Havre North Stars American Legion baseball team got their season re-started Monday afternoon, and they did it with a win.

The North Stars traveled to Scobey for a game against the Scobey Blue, who are resurrecting their Legion program, and Havre was able to come away with an 11-9 win.

The North Stars, of head coach Dick Fuzesy, used three pitchers in the non-conference win, as Jerod Boles, Ethan Roberts and Kennedy McKay all took the mound for the North Stars in the victory.

At the plate, Havre was also efficient, scoring 11 runs on 15 hits.

The win boosted Havre's record 2-2 on the young season, but the North Stars are just getting started.

Havre is set to host a six-game home stand this weekend with Northern A conference doubleheaders Friday through Sunday at Legion Field.
