Havre Police Department

Havre police investigated a report made from Washington Avenue at 8:08 a.m. Thursday of a hit and run crash. The caller said a 2006 light brown Chevrolet pickup truck hit a vehicle and then drove away.

Officers at the Hill County Courthouse at 8:59 a.m. Thursday arrested Gene Allen Swick, 39, of Havre on two Justice or City court warrants.

Officers investigated a crash after a person from 10th Avenue and Bullhook Road called at 12:31 p.m. Thursday.

After a caller from a 1st Street location at 3:38 p.m. Thursday reported finding someone smoking marijuana, officers made two arrests. The police dispatch log did not have any details.

After a caller from a 2nd Street location at 1:33 this morning reported a woman was outside yelling for help, officers arrested Jordan James Normandy, 22, of Havre on a charge of obstructing a peace officer and on a Justice or City court warrant.

After a caller from a 5th Street location reported at 1:58 this morning that a person refused to pay cab fare, officers arrested Donna Sue Meyers, 70, of Havre on a charge of theft of labor or services or use of property.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Gene Allen Swick, 39, of Havre was arrested Thursday at 8:59 a.m. on two Justice or City court warrants at the Hill County Courthouse.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to five calls Thursday.

Fire crews responded to a fire call Thursday at 7:53 a.m. on the 400 Block of 4th Avenue, where a smoke smell was reported but turned out to be a false alarm.
