Tuss re-elected Regents chair

The Montana University System Board of Regents Friday voted unanimously for Paul Tuss of Havre, to continue his service as chair.

The board is tasked with overseeing the governance of the 16 campuses that make up the state's university system. It met at Montana State University-Northern on Thursday and Friday.

He was first appointed to the Board in 2011 and after a stint as vice chair, assumed his current position after then-Chair Angela McLean was tapped by Gov. Steve Bullock to be his lieutenant governor.

Tuss is executive director of Bear Paw Development Corporation and is the husband of former Havre City Council member Pam Hillery.

His term on the board expires in 2020.

Board members also moved to unanimously re-elect Vice Chair Fran Albrecht to her current position.
