'Talent of the Hi-Line' will raise funds for Salvation Army

Bagpipers, country guitarists and dancers will be among the artists to perform at the annual Talent of the Hi-Line, 7 p.m., Saturday at Havre High School.

The night of entertainment will benefit the Salvation Army’s Havre Service Center.

Dr. Mike Gibson, a Havre chiropractor, will play the bagpipes, Cameron Overcast, who comes from a family of country guitarists in Blaine County, will play the guitar and the Studio of Dance and Arts, a group of young dancers will perform.

Other acts will be added, said Trina Crawford, director of the Havre Service Center.

Tickets are $5 if purchased ahead of time and $10 at the door. For a family, tickets are $15 if purchased ahead of time and $25 at the door.

Crawford said the money will be used to finance emergency services the Salvation Army offers to clients.

“The money we raise here really helps us throughout the year,” she said.

In addition to raising funds, the program is designed to highlight the talents of Hi-Line residents.

“I’m always amazed at the great talent we have on the Hi-Line,” she said. “A lot of times we don’t realize it.”

Tickets are available at The Key in Holiday Village Mall, Reflections Hair Design, Havre Hardware and Home, Norman’s Ranch and Sportswear, the Salvation Army office and the Sally Ann Thrift Store and from Salvation Army Advisory Committee members.
