Barbara L (Bradbury) Peterson, 90, of Havre passed away on May 9, 2016.
No services are planned at her request. Memorials are suggested to Havre Food Bank, First Lutheran Church or the North Central Senior Center.

She was born on March 25, 1926, in Havre, Montana, to W.H. and Pearl Bradbury. Barbara graduated from Havre High School. She married Garfield Peterson in 1946. She worked side by side with Garfield on the farm north of Havre until his death in 1981, when she moved to Havre.
Barbara was very active in the community, a member of Farmers Union, Cottonwood Home Demonstration Club, Ladies Aide and First Lutheran Church. She was a 4-H leader for many years. She was known for her excellent cooking, sewing, quilting and crafting. Barbara always said she was Norwegian by osmosis, baking and cooking all of the special Norwegian recipes.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brothers, Billy Bradbury, and Alfred Bradbury.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Savasten (Russell) Getten of Havre; sisters, Ruth Laugen (Al) Fernandez, Zella (Frank) Witter of Hungry Horse, Joyce Weagley of Coeur d'Alene Idaho; and grandchildren, Dale (Jodi) Savasten of Farmington, Minnesota, Keith (Beth) Savasten of Edgerton Kansas, Jay (Lisa) Getten and Amanda (Eric) Reed of Havre and Stephen Getten of Washington, D.C .; 10 great-grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.
