Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Jeff Miller, Havre High Tennis

Havre High senior Jeff Miller has done a lot with his tennis career. But, this past weekend in Helena, he did something no Blue Pony has done in at least 15 years. By finishing third in the No. 1 boys singles bracket Saturday, Miller earned the highest finish by an HHS player in the No. 1 boys singles draw at the Helena Invite in nearly two decades. The 2014 Class A state champion, Miller is 24-2 on the season, and he's also a three-time All-State performer in tennis, as well as a three-time Central A champion. Miller also competes in golf and American Legion baseball.

Naomi Terry, Havre High Track

Havre High junior Naomi Terry may have finished second to Lewistown star Jaree Mane in the 100- and 200-meter dashes at the Havre Middle School track last Saturday. But, it doesn't change the big season Terry, a Class A All-State standout in hoops, is having. Terry has a combined six first-place finishes in the 100 and 200 so far this spring, and will look to continue her hot streak on the track at next weekend's Eastern A Divisional in Laurel. Terry is also not only a top performer in basketball and track, but also on the volleyball court for the Blue Ponies as well.
