Stone Child adviser wins honors

From American Indian Business Leaders

Stone Child College business instructor Rebecca Farr recently received the designation of Adviser of the Year at the 2016 American Indian Business Leaders National Conference in Phoenix.

Her Stone Child College students also received first place in the business plan competition, tribal college division, at the conference.

Farr has worked at Stone Child College for six years, first as an adjunct, and over the past four years as the business instructor and American Indian Business Leaders adviser at Stone Child.

In addition, Farr is one of the Native American Business Advisers for the Indian Equity Fund, providing technical advice on business plan writing. She also serves as the treasurer for the Rocky Boy Veterans’ Board.

Prior to this, Farr was the program officer for Opportunity Link Inc. and North Central Montana Transit, as well as the director of Court Appointed Special Advocates.

She holds a Master of Science in management, a Master of Liberal Arts in science and culture and a social sciences degree.
