Golden Eagle was born on April 4, 1984, in Havre to Daniel and Georgia (Black Wolf) Denny. He was raised in Rocky Boy, attending schools there. During his senior year, he attended Kicking Horse Job Corps for culinary arts, but had to return home before he completed his course of study.  Upon his return home, Big G worked for Rocky Boy Water Resources in construction, and attended Stone Child College majoring in Native American Studies. At the time of his death, he was working in maintenance at the Rocky Boy Wellness Center.

Big G was a very happy-go-lucky man who enjoyed working out, strength training others and was an active role model for the younger generation. He was a very positive traditional man who consistently attended peyote meetings and was an active member of the Native American Church. There are those who say he had the cheesiest smile in Rocky Boy.

Golden Eagle was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Hattie (Oats) Denny Sr., and Dorence and Rose (Cochran) Black Wolf; his parents Daniel and Georgia (Black Wolf) Denny; and his brother, Darrel Black Wolf.

He is survived by his son, Dayton Paul Stiffarm Denny of Fort Belknap; his daughter, Darrien Denny of Seattle, Washington; his grandchildren, Darrionna and Ryaliyah Denny; his brothers, Danson Denny of Rocky Boy, Michael (Joyce) Black Wolf, Gordon (Marla) Black Wolf, and Darren Black Wolf, all of Fort Belknap, and Jerid (Maryann) Denny of Rocky Boy; his sisters, LaRissa (Sonny Standing Rock) Denny of Rocky Boy and Dara (Albert Snell) Denny of Fort Belknap; his adopted parents, Douglas and Pauline Standing Rock  Sr .; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
