Lisa was born on July 22, 1963, in Havre, where she graduated from high school in 1981. In high school, Lisa was known for her ability to cut hair like her father, Monty. It was natural that following high school Lisa would become a barber. Upon graduation from barber school in Billings, Lisa returned to Havre to cut hair with her father at the PTL Barber Shop. Lisa and Monty were a great father-daughter team. He preached, she laughed and the two were truly happy.
Lisa met the love of her life, Vern Cottrell, in Havre, and from their union came their two children whom she loved greatly. After her husband, Vern, passed away in 1992, she dedicated herself to raising Taylor and Faith and took the greatest pride in their accomplishments.
Lisa continued to seek and was able to find love through her companions, friends and family. She moved to Great Falls to find her home and to raise her children.
She was preceded in death by her father, Monty Holden; and her husband, Vern Cottrell.
She is survived by son, Taylor Cottrell of Great Falls; daughter, Faith Cottrell of Seattle; mother, Irene Bitz-Holden of Great Falls; and brothers, Shawn (Christy) Holden of Havre, and Jason (Angela) Holden of Great Falls. She also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, nephews and a niece, including her aunt Dorene and uncle Ron, who were more like loving parents than aunt and uncle to her throughout her life.
