Austin Henry Nivens, 91, passed away April 18, 2016, surrounded by his family at his home in Havre.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Kuper Memorial Cemetery in Chinook.
Arrangements have been made with Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.

Austin was born Dec. 4, 1924, in Alton, Missouri, to Bonnie and Walter Nivens, one of six children.
Austin served in World War II and he was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Havre and a member of the Eagles Club.
Austin worked for and retired from BNSF. Austin loved working on his farm with his children building many bird houses for friends and family. Austin and Alice loved to go dancing. After her death, he continued meeting friends at the Eagles Club and senior center to dance. He met up with two Canadian ladies and danced when they came to town.
Austin is survived by daughters, Bernice Campbell of Havre and Diana Robbin of Sundance, Wyoming; sons, Roger (Cathy) of Benton, Arkansas, Mark (Jane) of Rapid City, South Dakota, Rick (Freya) of Oregon City, Oregon, and Greg (Mary) of Sheridan, Wyoming; brother, Chester of Campo, Colorado; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Austin was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Bonnie; brothers, George, John and James; sister, Vergie Bell Malken; and the love of his life, Alice, in 2009.
