The Hill County FSA Office says it is hearing reports of wheat streak mosaic in local winter wheat, adding that finding the disease is not uncommon after an area receiving severe hailstorms as occurred last year.
FSA is advising local producers that they must notify crop insurance agent and the FSA office prior to destroying crops or they would lose eligibility for various programs.
