Havre High selects students of the Month for March

Kailee Collins has been chosen as one of Havre High School's March 2016 Students of the Month.

Kailee is the daughter of Sarah and Matthew Collins and the sister of Ellie, who is 12. She is 17 years old and a senior at Havre High School.

Kailee is actively involved in school and participated as a basketball manager, Key Club member, senior class president, and a Student Council member. Her hobbies include space and astronomy, photography, hiking, video games, and sleeping. Kailee works at Famous Footwear.

Anna Joy nominated Kailee as Student of the Month based on Kailee's performance in accounting class. Joy said, "Kailee is an asset to Havre High School with her enthusiasm and effort in her classes and activities. She is fun, uses humor and is kind to her classmates."

Joy said Kailee is always polite, attentive, and strives to do her best. Kailee has also managed to balance school and multiple activities while still excelling in the classroom.

In the future, Kailee plans on pursuing her Ph.D. in physics and a career in astrophysics.

Cayden Seiler has been nominated and chosen as Havre High School's second March 2016 Student of the Month. Cayden is 17 years old and a senior in high school. He is the son of Rachel Seiler.

Cayden participates in Marching Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band and Brass Quintet. His hobbies include paintball and computers, and he works at Dairy Queen.

Mary Wagner nominated Cayden because of his performance in AP Calculus, saying Cayden comes to class prepared and ready to learn. He has a positive attitude, is encouraging to other students and is always willing to offer a helping hand when someone is struggling or does not understand the material. Wagner said Cayden "is kind, considerate and an absolute joy to teach. When other students may complain about the amount of work assigned, Cayden just smiles and gets it done."

Cayden participates behind the scenes at many events by giving unconditionally of his time and talents and cheering others on. He has been a great leader in the stands.

Cayden plans on studying computer science at Montana State University.
