Man who cut himself at Holiday in Great Falls hospital

The man who cut his throat and walked into the Holiday Stationstores convenience store and gas station Tuesday morning has been transported to Great Falls Benefis Hospital due to the severity of his injuries.

Havre Police Department Chief Gabe Matosich said officers responded at 7:13 a.m. to a “report of a male who was cutting his own throat with a knife.”

Matosich said the identity of the man is unknown and the age has been updated to 56, not 46 as was first reported. He also believed the man was from Rocky Boy.

Matosich said the man is not facing any charges, and he doesn't know if he has a history of mental illness.
