The Havre Area Chamber of Commerce and Havre Pride Committee will have its annual community cleanup Saturday, April 16.
People are being asked to donate some time between 8:30 and 11:30 a.m. to clean up.
“The long winter has taken a toll on our community,” said Shawn Holden, Chamber board president. “Can you help? You bet. Just an hour of your time can make a big difference.”
The Chamber teams up with the city of Havre, Montana Department of Transportation and community volunteers to put on the event. Business people and community residents traditionally show up for the cleanup.
“Many helping hands will help to make this much-needed spring cleanup much easier,” said Debbie Vandeberg, Chamber executive director.
People fan out throughout the community to pick up trash on streets, sidewalks and parks.
The Chamber continues to partner with Recycle Hi-Line and others in working on the cleanup and recycling effort.
Recycling bins will be located at Pacific Steel & Recycling from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
