Obituary - Neil F. Johnson

Neil F. Johnson, born May 20, 1934, died Jan. 15, 2016.

Neil was born in Havre and raised in Kremlin, where he graduated from high school in 1952.

Later he entered the U.S. Army, becoming a paratrooper stationed in Greenland.

He met and married Jean Whitzel in Pennsylvania, later returning to Kremlin for a few years, then moving to Hillsboro, Oregon and then to Arlington, Texas, where he worked for Western Kraft.

After his retirement he moved to Red Rock, Texas, where he spent the rest of his life.

Neil is survived by his wife, Joan; son, Mark; daughter, Kelly; one granddaughter, Ashley; sister, Darlene Donovan and brother-in-law, Lowell; and many cousins.

Neil is preceded in death by his parents, Val and Curtis Johnson; his brother, Roland and sister-in-law, Amelia,

He was laid to rest in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
