Eastern Star offers Christian Endeavor scholarships

The Montana Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, will again award ESTARL scholarships.

The awards are available to college students, sophomores  or above. The students must be preparing for Christian service as ministers, missionaries, music ministry or other specialized fields of Christian endeavor.

Applicants must be residents of Montana and must be sponsored by a Montana Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. It is not necessary for applicants to be of Masonic background.

Former applicants are urged to reapply whether or not they were a former recipient.

Locally, application forms are available from Pauline Petersen, secretary of Havre Chapter 30, Order of Eastern Star by calling 262-9341 or writing [email protected].

Forms and supporting material must be returned to the sponsoring Chapter no later than April 10. Late or incomplete applications cannot be considered.

The awards will be made during the Montana Grand Chapter’s annual Vesper Service to be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kalispell Wednesday, June 15, beginning at 7 p.m.

Certificates of award will be presented to successful applicants or a representative member of the sponsoring chapter at that time.
