Two Lights tabbed for Frontier All-Conference

A pair of Montana State University-Northern Lights have been honored for their play in the Frontier Conference this season.

The league released its Men's All-Conference Team Tuesday, and Northern's Warren Edmondson and David Straughter were named.

Edmondson earned All-Conference honors for the second straight season, making the list as a Second-Team this season. He led MSU-N at 13 points per game, and scored a season-high 29 points in MSU-N's regular season finale against Montana Tech.

Straughter earned Honorable Mention honors in his first season with the Lights. He scored 10 points and led Northern with six rebounds per game, and over his last eight contests, Straughter was one of the Lights' leading scorers at 16 points per night during that stretch.

League and tournament champion Lewis-Clark State cleaned up in the individual honors. Junior forward Jacob Wiley was named the Frontier Conference Player of the Year, while junior Doug McDaniel was named Newcomer of the Year and Sixth-Man of the Year. Both were also First-Team All-Conference selections. LCSC head coach Brandon Rinta was named Coach of the Year as well.

Carroll also had two First-Team selections in Ryan Imhoff and Zach Taylor, while Burnham was a Second Team choice. RMC's Rob Nyby and UM-Western's Dexter Williams Jr., rounded out the First Team.
