The USA Dry Pea and Lentil Council will hold meetings across Montana next week including in Havre to discuss new developments in the pulse industry.
Tim McGreevy, CEO of the USA Dry Pea and Lentil Council, and Kim Murray, chairman of the Montana Pulse Advisory Committee, will be discussing:
• Future of the Montana pulse industry
• Global pulse brand campaign
• Establishing a research legacy
•2016 International Year of Pulses
•North American marketing campaign
• Market outlook
• The pulse crop movement
The Havre meeting will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, at the Best Western Plus Havre Inn. 1425 US Highway 2.
In a press release, the council said 2016 will be an exciting year for the industry. The United Nations has designated it as International Year of the Pulses, as part of a worldwide effort to keep the plant healthy.
