Fifth Annual Little Black Dress Party is Saturday
Women from around the area will be donning their little black dresses and supporting a local cause Saturday night starting at 6 p.m.
The evening centers on fun and entertainment, but this year it will also focus on raising money for the RezQ Dogs organization.
There will be a dinner of pork roast, potatoes, veggies and a roll, with salads and desserts available, provided by the Eagles Club as well as a live band, Plowed Under, playing tunes to dance to.
The cost for this event will be $10 at the door,
Couples and gentlemen are also involved.
Congressional art
competition is open
Rep. Zinke, R-Mont., said the annual Congressional Art Competition is open to all Montana high school students and urged local stuents to participate.
Students must submit a painting, drawing, collage, print, computer-generated, photograph, or mixed media artwork no later than April 22, 5 p.m., to Rep. Zinke’s Helena office.
The winning submission will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol building and the winner will receive a trip to Washington, D.C., for a special reception in their honor where they can meet other young artists from around the country. Red Ants Pants grants available to public
The Red Ants Pants Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2016 Community Grant Cycle funded by the Red Ants Pants Music Festival.
Grant applications can be filled out online and must be returned by April 30. Grant applicants are encouraged to submit proposals for projects throughout the region that further the Foundation's mission of developing and expanding leadership roles for women, preserving and supporting working family farms and ranches, and enriching and promoting rural communities.
To date, the Red Ants Pants Foundation has provided more than $45,000 in grants to working family farms and ranches, projects to support women’s leadership and the rural communities.
The news comes as the Red Ants Pants Music Festival plans to release its highly anticipated 2016 lineup at a block party April 2 on Main Street in White Sulphur Springs. The headliners will include Grammy-award winning music legends along with a host of rising stars and fan favorites. A portion of the proceeds from the Red Ants Pants Music Festival funds the Red Ants Pants Foundation’s community grant cycle.
