Friday's Prep Basketball: Havre boys reach Eastern A chipper

Both Havre High basketball teams were in the Eastern A semifinals Friday in Billings against the Billings Central Rams. Unfortunately, only one Havre team will get to play for a championship Saturday night.

The Havre High boys broke open a close game with the Rams Friday afternoon, and went on to win 65-50, pushing the Ponies into the championship game where they'll face Eastern A 3rd seed Hardin at 7 p.m. Havre is also locked into next week's Class A state tourney in Missoula. In the win over Central, Dane Warp scored 30 points for HHS, while Jerod Boles added 15.
