Havre High School narrows down principal choices

Havre High School began interviewing candidates for the principal position Monday in the school library, where a collection of Havre public school staff gathered to ask the three candidates four questions.

The candidates are:

• Ken Larson, a Conrad high school principal

• Mike Haugen, who teaches and performs administrative tasks at Gonzaga Preparatory School in Spokane, Washington

• Tim Tharp, the superintendent of Sunburst and grades 7-12 principal.

All three men said they are willing to relocate.

Haugen said he's from Chinook and his wife is from Havre. He'd like to get "back here."
