Independence Bank has promoted Joanna Skiff to operations manager.
"Joanna's extensive experience with operations, along
with her years of banking experience, will help us increase operational performance at all six of our branches," said Dawn Crowder, vice presi-dent of operations
and finance at Independence Bank. "As part of the bank's management team, her leadership will be instrumental to the continued growth and success of our bank."
Skiff, a Malta native, has lived in Havre for 12 years. She keeps busy with her family, enjoys the outdoors and reading. She said she also enjoys being involved in the community and serves as a co-chair for the Havre Area Chamber Ambassador Committee.
She has been with Independence Bank since 2007.
Skiff has been an assistant operations officer since 2013 and had previously served as a teller, new accounts representative, bookkeeper, head bookkeeper, and operations assistant.
In addition, she has received her certification as an Accredited ACH Professional and as a National Check Professional, recognizing her expertise in the area of electronic payments and the check payment system.
In her new position, Skiff will be primarily responsible for managing the Operations Department and bookkeeping staff at Independence Bank's Havre branch and providing leadership and operational support to the branches located in Malta, Glasgow, Poplar, Scobey and Conrad. Skiff will play a key role in the operational direction of the bank, helping create new deposit products and services for our customers.
