Havre Police Department

Scott James Gorman, 51, of Havre was arrested during a motor vehicle stop Wednesday at 11:41 a.m. on 1st Street on a charge of driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license.

Officers investigated a report of found property after a caller from a 1st Street reported Wednesday at 12:59 p.m. that she found a bike.

Martin Ray Harris, 50, of Box Elder was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing a peace officer after a caller reported Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. that a man was sleeping on the bench.

Officers issued a summons Wednesday at 7:59 p.m. at a 1st Street establishment. No further information was provided.

Officer investigated a theft report after a caller from 8th Avenue address reported a stolen cellphone Wednesday at 9:18 p.m.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Officers investigated a complaint a caller made Wednesday at 11:05 p.m. from a Crystal Springs Road address. The caller reported that a man was trying to get into her residence despite a protection order against him.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Wednesday.

Fire crews responded a call on the 600 Block of 4th Avenue Wednesday at 12:37 p.m., where a caller said smoke was coming out of window. Fire personnel determined the smoke was exhaust smoke from a pellet stove. No further action was necessary.

Fire crews responded to a 1:37 p.m. call Wednesday on the 100 Block of 3rd Avenue. The caller smelled “something hot.” Fire personnel investigated, with the help of a heat detector, and found that everything was OK.

Havre Animal Shelter

This morning the shelter held a brindle female hound mix, a black and white female cat and a black and tan male cat.
