Youth suspected of shooting car, home with BB gun

A 14-year-old juvenile was arrested Monday afternoon on suspicion of shooting at cars and homes with a BB gun.

According to Havre Police Department Chief Gabe Matosich, and in conjunction with the Havre Police Department dispatch log, police got a call Monday after 1 p.m. from a woman who said someone shot out her window.

Matosich said the juvenile allegedly shot two windows out of a stationary van, one out of a car that was driving by and the windows of a nearby residence were shot out. The incident took place on the 1700 Block of 2nd Street and 100 Block of 17th Avenue.

During the search for the juvenile, Jenal Lee Walker was inadvertently found and arrested for violating parole, a charge wholly unrelated to the shooting incident.

The juvenile will be facing pending charges of two counts of criminal endangerment, two counts of criminal mischief, possession of drug paraphernalia and an “other” charge.

The juvenile was transported to Cascade County Juvenile Detention Center, where formal charges will be applied.
