Havre Police Department

Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity after a caller from 5th Street reported Tuesday at 11:49 a.m. that a “male seems to be on something. He will stop and dance and look up in the sky and then start walking again.”

Charles Walter Browne, 63, of Williston, North Dakota, was arrested on a charge of theft of labor or services after a caller from the Amtrak station reported Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. that a passenger needed to be removed.

A 12-year-old was issued a summons on a curfew violation charge after the mother reported Tuesday at 10:48 p.m. that her son had not come home.

Steven Allen Stanley, 40, of Box Elder was issued a summons on a theft charge after a caller from a 11th Street West business reported a shoplifter Tuesday at 11:26 p.m.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies investigated a report of theft after someone from a U.S. Highway 2 business reported Tuesday at 11:34 a.m. that a vehicle was stolen off the lot.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Tuesday and two calls this morning.

Fire crews responded to a call on the 1100 Block of 26th Avenue West Tuesday at 12:41 p.m. An electrical arch in the engine compartment set the vehicle on fire. The fire was put out and no one was hurt. The damage to the vehicle was irreversible.
