The Montana State University-Northern Skylights have had back-to-back home splits in the Frontier Conference. And with the two losses in the last two weeks, the Skylights have slipped some in the NAIA Top 25.
Still, in the new NAIA Women's Coaches Poll, Northern is holding strong at No. 14. Following last Saturday's loss to Lewis-Clark State, the Skylights dropped six spots in the new poll, but they still remain ranked ahead of the streaking Warriors. LC moved up from No. 20 to No. 16 in the new poll.
Carroll College remained at No. 5 in the latest poll, and the Fighting Saints, Skylights and Warriors are the three Frontier teams inside the Top 25. UGF and Rocky Mountain College are receiving votes.
On the men's side, three Frontier teams are also ranked in the new NAIA Coaches Poll, thanks to UM-Western moving into the Top 25 at No. 25. Riding a nine-game winning streak LC State has risen all the way up to No. 3 in the new poll, and is the highest ranked Frontier men's team since RMC was ranked No. 1 at the end of the 2009-10 season. Carroll is the third Frontier team ranked in the men's poll, with the Saints coming in at No. 14.
The Skylights and Lights are back home this weekend to host RMC Friday night and Western Saturday night.
