Obituary - Eldon R. Grey

Eldon R. Grey, 63, of Great Falls passed away on Jan. 15, 2016.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel.

Schnider Funeral Home of Great Falls is handling the arrangements.

Eldon was born on Aug. 23, 1952, to Lawrence and Vivian (Arnoux) Grey in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He joined the U.S. Army after completing high school and served in Vietnam.

After being honorably discharged, he went to work for Burlington Northern Railroad as a boiler operator. Throughout his life he lived in Sheridan and Gillette, Wyoming, and finally settled down in Great Falls.

He married Barbara Mary Hinkle in 1977. Their first son, Jason, was born in 1978, and four years later Jim was born.

Eldon was a people person who loved playing his harmonica and reading.

He is survived by his sons, Jason Grey of Gillette, Wyoming, and Jim Grey of Great Falls; three grandchildren and one on the way.

Eldon was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis James Grey; and sisters, Myrna Mitchell and Gayline Peterson.
