Gary Spang Sr

Gary Spang Sr., 62, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016, at his residence. Wake services will begin at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, where he will remain until his funeral, which will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016.Burial will follow in the Old Russette Cemetery. Gary was born on Feb. 14, 1953, in Crow Agency, Montana, to Lyman and Edith (Knows His Gun) Spang. He was raised in Crow Agency, attending school there. In 1972, Gary met his wife and the mother of his children, Dale Marie Russette, in Lame Deer. Soon after, Gary attended Eastern Montana College in Billings.Gary and Dale had seven children together and were married for 19 years before going their separate ways. They remained friends. Gary would often return to Rocky Boy to visit his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Gary Spang Jr. and Westy Sean Spang; his mother, Edith Bowers; his father, Lyman Spang, Sr .; and his brothers, Johnnie Bowers and Terry Spotted Wolf.

Gary is survived by his wife, Dale Russette; his daughters, Sherry Spang, Francine (Mike Parker Jr.) Spang and Lacey (Antone Nault) Russette; his sons, Dwight (Gisele) Spang and Jacob (Jaime) Spang; his 22 grandchildren; his two great-grandchildren; his sisters, Susanne Spang, Fran Spang, Diane Bowers and Germain Spotted Wolf; his brothers, Lyman Spang, Jr., Ronnie Spang, Tab Bowers and James D. Spotted Wolf; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
