This Week on Yellowstone Public Radio, Jan. 10-16:

Sunday — 7 p.m.: From the Salzburg Festival, the Mozarteum Orchestra performs Massenet’s  “other opera,” “Werther,” on “World of Opera.”

Monday — 2 p.m.: Legendary drummer Max Roach plays and shares his stories of working with Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk and Dizzy Gillespie on “Piano Jazz.”

Tuesday — 7 p.m.: Black families of murdered relatives in South Carolina demonstrate the long tradition of nonviolence for coping with oppression on “Humankind.”

Wednesday — 8 p.m.: Conductor Jaap van Zweden leads the Dallas Symphony in Mahler’s Ninth Symphony and Bach’s Passacaglia and Fuge in C minor.

Thursday — 9 p.m.: Contemplating the effects of inadequate healthcare services and lack of hospice care in prisons on “Philosophy Talk.”

Friday — 2 p.m.: A celebration of living legends and emerging artists with new releases and current performance information on “Jazz Happening Now.”

Saturday — 7 p.m .: New Celtic compositions from instrumental commissions to new singer-songwriter works on “The Thistle & Shamrock.”
