Olive M. Sheppard, 87, passed away due to natural causes on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015, at Northern Montana Hospital.
Cremation has taken place, and memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015, at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Tanner Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
Her family has requested that memorials be made in Olive's name to the ALS Association-Evergreen Chapter, First Lutheran Church, or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Olive was born on Oct. 6, 1928, in Chinook to George and Bessie (Griffee) Slonaker. She was raised north of Zurich and then relocated to Chinook for high school. Olive graduated from Chinook High School in 1946, and married Dale Sheppard the same year.
The couple made their home in Chinook and then relocated to Havre in 1953, where together they owned A.C. Supply Company, Master Sports and the Super 8 Motel. Olive and Dale, though busy with the businesses, also farmed south of Chinook during this time, and raised their four children.
They retired together in the late 1980s at which time their main hobby was spending time with their family, especially their grandchildren, on whom they doted.
Olive was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; her daughter, Darla Kay Sheppard; her brothers, Donald, Fred and Les Slonaker; and her sisters, Margaret Pridgeon and Eleanor Blevins.
She is survived by her children, Terry (Jude) Sheppard of Chinook and Doug (Paula) Sheppard, Karla (Wayne) Bolken and David (Mary Beth) Sheppard, all of Havre; her grandchildren, Ali Bovingdon, Matt Sheppard, Jacy Crowley, Kyle Sheppard, Stacey Sheppard, Nic'Olai Bolken, Eric Bolken and Kari Crossley and Tyler, Scott and Mason Sheppard; her eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Leland "Fat" Slonaker of Havre; her sister May Gertson of Chinook; and numerous nieces and nephews.
