Ice Hawks drop two to the Missoula Bruins

It was a rough weekend for the Havre Ice Hawks high school hockey team. The Ice Hawks closed out the 2015 portion of their schedule with a pair of losses in Missoula.

On Saturday, the Ice Hawks were shut out by the Missoula Bruins, 13-0. In goal, Havre’s Nick Stump saved 54 shots, but, offensively, the Ice Hawks were able to put just eight shots on goal in the game.

On Sunday, the Ice Hawks and Bruins met in a rematch, and again, Missoula was just too powerful, as they defeated Havre 10-1.

Ethan Roberts scored Havre’s only goal, as he found the back of the net in the third period. Defensively, Stump was again under siege, but he did save a whopping 44 shots.

Six games into the season, the Hawks now have a record of 1-4-1, as they beat Glasgow on the opening weekend.

The Ice Hawks will now be off until Jan. 8-9 when they host Billings at the Havre Ice Dome.
