Celina Eagleman, (Sitting Eagle Woman), 56, passed away on Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, of natural causes at Benefis Medical Center in Great Falls. Wake services began at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, and will continue until her traditional funeral service, which will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements. Celina was born Oct. 20, 1959, to Edward and Rose (Walking Child) Eagleman. She was raised a majority of her life in Rocky Boy, Montana, and grew up in a traditional cultural upbringing. She was educated in Rocky Boy Elementary School and attended Box Elder High for a short period of time. She attended Clear Field Job Corps in the Ogden, Utah.
Celina was an active Native American Church member, enjoyed pow-wows, traveling (to include New York City), playing gaming machines, and visiting relatives and her many friends she had made throughout her lifetime. She spent a period of her time as a camp crew member on several fires.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Rose Eagleman; and her brothers, Gerald Eagleman and Allan Eagleman.
Celina is survived by her son Tex (Blossem) Eagleman; her grandson, Edward; her granddaughters, Rose, Alllison, and Heaydon; her brothers, Francis, Galen and Jeffery Eagleman; her sister, Gilda Stanley; and several nieces, nephews, friends and close relatives in Rocky Boy, and throughout the United States and Canada.
