"Star Wars" fever has hit chilly Havre,
The first "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" showing was set for 7 Thursday night. Some theaters across the nation have had people camping out for days in anticipation of the movie. But in Havre, people trickled in until the distinguishable music score started playing.
Not that Havrerites weren't excited about the seventh episode. The theme song was played from different phones as the crowd waited for the movie to start. Glowing red and green sabers were wooshing and crashing all over the 156-seat cinema. People, some wearing their best "Star Wars" shirts and hats, were laughing and discussing possible plot twists.
When the screen finally showed the iconic yellow and black franchise title and blasted its equally unmistakable music score, the crowd gave one last good cheer before quietly settling in for an intergalactic adventure.
The movie finished two hours later and the crowd cheered and hollered in approval.
Trenton Parrotte watched the movie with his friends from Havre High School. He said he enjoyed the movie so much he couldn't separate one awesome part from another. As far as he was concerned, "all of it" was his favorite part. He ranked episode seven somewhere in the top two of all the episodes.
Rana Weber, who was dressed in a white Princess Leia gown and braided hair like the character's, has been a fan since the '70s, when her dad took her to see her first "Star Wars" movie.

The 7 p.m. crowd filed out past a lobby bursting with people waiting to see the 9 p.m. showing. Someone shouted "it was all a dream" and laughed, but didn't give away any spoilers.
Outside, a group of 20-somethings who were waiting for room to be made in the lobby, were saber-fencing.
