Norma V. (Peterson) Strandberg, 81, passed away Dec. 9, 2015, with her family by her side.
Norma was born in Rugby, North Dakota, to Ole and Ruth (Ormbreck) Peterson, the eighth of 10 children. She grew up in Berwick, North Dakota.
She met and married Robert. D. Strandberg May 16, 1953, and was married for 61 years before Robert passed away in 2014. They moved from Minot, North Dakota to Havre, Montana, in 1954.
She and Robert had five children. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and so much more. She was the foundation of our home. Norma made the move with her husband from Havre, Montana, to Spokane, Washington, in 1969 where they raised their children and found their forever home. Her whole life was her husband and children and taking care of them and her home. She had a fun nature and a silliness about her that made you feel so good. She was Dad's soulmate.
Norma is survived by her brothers Lawrence and Johnnie Peterson, and two sisters, Marlys Venner and Joanne Kenzy; one brother and five sisters preceded her in death.
Norma is also survived by her children, Yvonne (Dave) Ellis, Roberta Lund, Fred Strandberg, Vicky (Juan) Rivera and Amy (Jeff) Utt; 11 grandchildren, Sarah, Timothy, Wyatt, Wendy, Nicholas, Matthew, Juan, Sean, Robert, Korynn and Michael; 11 great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Dylan, Ayden, Simon, Madison, Alyson, Monte, Lucas, Morgan, Miley and Delilah.
Forever in our thoughts and always in our hearts. We will miss you.
