Rudyard man dies in Fort Benton crash

A Rudyard man, Danny Hansard , 60, was one of two people killed in an accident near Fort Benton on Thursday.

John Romain, 88, Great Falls, also died in the accident.

Montana Highway Patrol said a southbound car driven by Mr. Romain tried to pass a tractor-trailer on Highway 87 in a no-passing zone.

Mr. Hansard was driving north at the time and collided with Mr. Romain's car. A passenger was thrown from the Hansard vehicle and is in stable condition at a Great Falls hospital.
