Billie Seymour, 45, of Havre was arrested Tuesday and is being held without bond on two felony charges of criminal distribution of dangerous drugs and one of criminal child endangerment.
According to documents from Justice Court, a 13-year-old student brought a bottle of flavored water to Havre Middle School school counselor for “safekeeping.” The student said there was hydrocodone in the bottle.
The school counselor notified the school resource officer and gave him the bottle for evidence, the legal papers said.
According to the documents, the officer talked to the student and immediately noticed that the student was lethargic.
The student told the officer that in the morning, she felt “achy” and wanted to throw up, the report said, also saying Seymour gave the student a hydrocodone pill so she could could feel better.
The record states the girl broke the pill in two because it was too big, putting half of it into the bottle of flavored water. As for the other half, first the student said they gave it to a sibling, but later changed the story and said the student took it.
The student said she did not have a prescription for the hydorcodone, but that Seymour did. The student said, as the resource officer continued speaking, that she was “feeling tired and dizzy and spacing out from the pill.” The student was transported to the Northern Montana Hospital by the Havre Middle School principal.
The officer spoke to Seymour afterwards and found that her “story was not consistent” and changed several times.
Seymour was arrested for knowingly causing risk of death or serious injury by distributing dangerous drugs to minors.
