Hi-Line youngsters will have a chance to celebrate a prehistoric Christmas Saturday at the H. Earl Clack Memorial Museum in Holiday Village Mall.
The museum’s board president, Judi Dritshulas, said all kinds of activities with a dinosaur theme will take place throughout the afternoon.
Kids will get to play games, decorate cookies and have a good time with the dinosaur theme, she said.
The young people will be able to tour the dinosaur exhibit at the museum, she said.
And someone dressed in a dinosaur costume will play with the children, who will be able to pose for selfies with the dinosaur.
The children will be able to take home a dinosaur egg. When they get home, she said, a baby dinosaur will be hatched, she said.
The museum has a small display about dinosaurs, the variety that roamed the area that is now the Hi-Line, she said. She hopes the display will get more extensive when the museum moves into its new home in the building that now houses Griggs Printing and Publishing in downtown Havre.
The museum volunteers have moved stored items from various places and put them into the new building, she said. But the completion of the move could be several years off, she said.
