Rocky Boy selects students of the month

For November, the Rocky Boy staff has chosen Taden Lewis, son of Wahban Wolf Robe, to honor as our student of the month. Taden is in seventh grade and is a very hard-working and conscientious young man.  

He displays and models the Rocky Boy Universals adopted within our school such as how to be respectful, be responsible, be safe and be a graduate. Continue striving to be the best role model, Taden.

Dacey St. Pierre, daughter of Donelle St. Pierre, has also been chosen student of the month. Dacey has a very positive and upbeat personality and takes her school work very seriously.

Jillian TopSky, a sophomore, is also a November student of the month.

Jillian is the daughter of Leland TopSky and Della Baptiste. Jillian is described as hardworking and high achieving. She cares and values her education. Kind, respectful and well-liked are words used to describe Jillian. The staff appreciates Jillian and her STAR attitude.

Makaveli Sutherland, a freshmen, is also a November student of the month. Pete Sutherland and Barbara Standing Rock are Mak's parents. Mak is a good role model and gets along well with others. He is always respectful and continually strives to be an excellent student.

Every month STAR role models are selected for the Rocky Boy Junior-Senior High School Students of the Month.

The award it is based on qualities such as character, leadership, citizenship, as well as academics. Students of the month must be a diligent student, complete assignments on time, show a strong effort to learn subjects to the best of their ability, prepare for class, and have good classroom participation. Students of the month demonstrates excellent behavior in and out of the classroom, is well mannered and respectful peers and teachers.

Students of the month displays excellent citizenship by working together with classmates in a cooperative attitude and exhibiting good behavior. Many such students display leadership qualities and serve as role models for their peers.

Lastly, students of the month demonstrates exemplar character through compassion, honesty, trustworthiness, responsibility, optimism and loyalty by helping to create a positive school environment. Each month the Rocky Boy Junior-Senior High teachers and administrator nominate and vote for students of the month.
