Beard hired as deputy sheriff

Deputy Brenton Beard is the newest member of the Hill County Sheriff's Office. He began his duties Tuesday.

Beard is from Spokane, Washington, and has been a student at Montana State University-Northern for the past few years. He was a member of the Northern Lights wrestling team and was an academic All-American as a Lights wrestler,

He is the son of Ron and Cindy Beard and was recently married to

Keelie Beard, daughter of Todd and Lori Solomon of Havre.

He enjoys spending time with family and friends, helping with coaching

wrestling and outdoor activities such as hiking and hunting.
