Bears, Knights garner Six-Man accolades

The Box Elder Bears made history in football this past season. Box Elder made the playoffs for the first time in decades and eventually made it all the way to the Class C Six-Man state championship game.

Unfortunately for the Bears, they just couldn't overcome Denton-Geyser-Stanford, which defeated them in the state title game. Yet, when the North Division announced its All-Conference team, four Box Elder players found themselves being honored, tying Box Elder with DGS for the most on the team.

Brandon The Boy, Jerrod Four Colors, Shane Ketchum and Bodis Duran, who all play both ways, earned All-Conference selections for the North Division. The Boy plays quarterback and safety; Duran is a running back and a linebacker; Ketchum plays receiver, running back and cornerback, while Four Colors is a tight end and wide receiver, as well as a defensive end.

The Boy, Ketchum, Four Colors and Duran were also named to the Class C Six-Man All-State team. Box Elder's four selections to the team tied DGS for the most in the North Division. Kade Woodhall, Rhet Woodhall, Kendall Carptener and Connor Bokma all made the team for DGS.

While DGS and Box Elder players made up the majority of the All-Conference team, another team from the Hi-Line, the North Star Knights, made their presence felt as both Gavin Spinler and Payton Peterson earned All-Conference honors. Peterson and Spinler were also named to the All-State team even though North Star's recent run of playoff appearances came to an end this past season.
