Dani Wagner, Havre Volleyball
It was the last volleyball match of her storied career, and while losses are never easy, Havre High senior Dani Wagner certainly went out in a big way. In last Friday's five-set HHS loss to Whitefish at the Class A state tourney, Wagner had an incredible 16 kills, 20 digs, 10 assists and three aces. The performance was spectacular, as was Wagner's final season on the volleyball court. Now, she'll turn her attention to basketball season, where she's also a returning All-State performer.
Brandon The Boy, Box Elder Football
It wasn't his last football game, but Box Elder senior quarterback Brandon The Boy sure played like it was. In a 42-40 C Six-Man semifinal win at Hot Springs last Saturday, The Boy threw for 302 yards, four TDs and the game winner. He also rushed for 92 yards and a score in helping Box Elder have a chance to win the school's first state championship in football. One week from now, The Boy will turn his focus to hoops, where he is already a three-time All-State standout for the Bears.
