Benjamin Stiffarm Jr., "Little Owl," passed away on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, in Billings.
Benjamin was born to Benjamin Sr. and Ida Stiffarm on March 23, 1955, in Berkeley, California. He grew up attending Chief Sealth High School in Seattle. Washington, and later Eastern Washington University in Pullman, Washington.
Ben worked as a journeyman carpenter. He greatly enjoyed sports, especially the Seattle Mariners and Seahawks.He loved his country music, like Hank William Jr., and rock'n'roll by attending many concerts. Ben was close with his Native heritage and participated in many sun dances and was a pipe holder.
Ben was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Stiffarm Sr .; brothers, Christopher Stiffarm and Steven Robideau; sister, Pamela Rose Fernandes; and niece, Josephine Rattler.
He is survived by his mother, Ida Stiffarm of Billings; daughter, Rita Marie Broulette of Alaska; siblings, Deborah Rattler of Spokane, Washington, Mike Stiffarm of Rapid City, South Dakota, Jim Robideau of Nebraska and Nannette ManyHides of Browning, Montana; and grandson, Ozzy.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015, at Mary Queen of Peace Parish in Billings.
